This is a stunning creamware transfer printed Platter. It is very finely molded, measuring 10 3/8 inches long x 7 1/2 inches wide. It is transfer printed in a rich chocolate brown or sepia, decorated with a fine botanical engraving of an Exotic Flower. The rim is decorated with a simple ring of interconnected circles, a fantastic example of Aesthetic movement Victorian love of naturalistic beauty.
The underside of bears the impressed mark of Wedgwood and dates to 1878 from the Staffordshire region of England.
Never Used. The platter is in Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, stains or repairs.
