FOUR AESTHETIC BROWN TRANSFERWARE PLATES
James Beech, Swan Bank Works Pottery
Tunstall, Staffordshire England ~ c. 1883
These Victorian aesthetic 7 3/8 " plates are transfer printed in very dark brown. One of my favorite patterns, take a close look and you will see why.
The pattern features a rim with geometric designs. The center of the plate is very busy with a honeycomb of wildly exotic flowers and whimsies. One cartouche of tropical flowers and another with an exotic landscape scene. By far, one of the best and rarest aesthetic patterns especially in this condition.
Never Used and the Condition is EXCELLENT. Shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.
