This outstanding Victorian aesthetic 12 5/8 " long x 9 3/4 " wide platter is transfer printed in dark brown.

The clear and crisp FAISAN pattern features a Pheasant cartouche surrounded by magnificent tulip tree blossoms and foliage. A darker inset feature buds and blossoms of water iris. Surrounding all of this beauty is a wildly geometric border separated by 6 panels with cherry blossom branches. An exceptional pattern.

The piece is marked on the underside with an impressed registration mark, the pattern name and trademark that identifies the maker as Mintons, a pottery maker working in the Staffordshire region of England during the 19th century.

The piece is in EXCELLENT condition, shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.
