EARLY DARK BLUE STAFFORDSHIRE PLATE
CHINESE PAGODA AND BRIDGE PATTERN

This large soup plate measures a generous 10 3/8 inches in diameter. The piece is transfer printed in dark blue over a bright white earthenware with a pearlware glaze.
The soup has a scalloped rim with a gadrooned edge. Four large foliated shields are separated by floral sprays. The well of the piece has a lovely Pagoda and an ornate bridge in the foreground.
Very clean, bright glossy and no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs.
