BLUE TRANSFERWARE PLATE
James Dimmock and Co Potteries
Hanley, Staffordshire England
This victorian 8 1/2 " supper plate is transfer printed in blue with an exceptionally clear and crisp BELMONT pattern featuring alternating panels of fern fronds and maiden hair fern fronds separated by four insets of partridges, a female duck and a woodcock. The well of the plate has a quail or partridge sitting on her nest as the male watches over the landscape. A spectacular plate !
Condition is excellent. Clean and bright, appears to have never been used. No chips, no cracks, no hairline, and no repairs. Very light edge wear.
