AESTHETIC BROWN TRANSFERWARE PLATTER

PERAK PATTERN

James Beech, Swan Bank Works Pottery

Staffordshire England ~ c. 1885

This large victorian aesthetic 16 " wide x 12 7/8 " wide platter is transfer printed in dark chocolate brown. The clear and crisp PERAK pattern features fabulous cartouches of sailboat on a mountain lake and one of quiet secretive buildings hidden in the landscape. All surrounded by flowers and leaves and sunbursts. Wonderful geometric designs along the rim complete this great platter. A rare aesthetic find for the collector. The pattern displays the victorian eras love of nature.

Condition is EXCELLENT. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs. A tiny kiln kiss along the edge for complete accuracy.
