AESTHETIC BROWN TRANSFERWARE LARGE PLATTER

BURMAH PATTERN

W. H. Grindley and Co. Potteries

Tunstall, Staffordshire England

c. 1883

This large victorian aesthetic 17 7/8 " long x 12 3/4 " wide platter is transfer printed in rich dark chocolate brown.

The clear and crisp BURMAH pattern features a Japanesque water scene with water lilies and cattails, outrageous bamboo and birds, and butterflies flitting throughout the transfer. Geometric shapes mixed with exotic flowers complete the wonderful plate. The pattern displays the victorian eras love of nature.
