This wonderful Victorian aesthetic 7 1/2 " plate is transfer printed in dark chocolate brown. The clear and crisp INDIAN pattern features a pair of exotic birds mixed into a plethora of palm fronds and exciting flowers and foliage. The pattern displays the Victorian eras love of nature.
The piece is marked on the underside with an impressed registration mark, the pattern name and trademark that identifies the maker as Dunn Bennett, a pottery maker working in Burslem and Hanley in the Staffordshire region of England during the 19th century.
The piece is in EXCELLENT condition, clean shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks and no repairs. Normal kiln marks to the outer rim.
