Talk about unusual! This dress clip features a large central glass stone surrounded by what looks like blister pearls (imitation of course!) tinged with pink to pick up the color of the large stone. I believe the "blister pearls" are made of celluloid which would be appropriate for the time period. This is a large piece measuring 2 1/4 inches from top to bottom by 2 inches wide. It is signed on the reverse as shown "Irving Silverman NY. It also has a utility patent number on the underside of the clip. The stones are prong set and the condition is fine overall; there is some wear to the plating as expected in a piece this age. This is a truly remarkable piece--I have never seen anything like it.
