Matching brooch and earrings feature dancing Blackamoor princess with thermoplastic face, elaborate headdress, faux pearl earrings, and clear rhinestones in a silver tone setting. The earrings are unsigned; the pin is marked PAM with the copyright symbol. The brooch is quite large and measures 2 3/4 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches wide. Excellent condition! This set can be seen on page 127 of "Classic American Costume Jewelry" by Jacqueline Rehmann, Collector Books, 2007.
Little is known about the PAM jewelry company except that it appears to have been in business a short time between the 1950's and 1960's. This is the most desirable set made by the company; other items include colorful wide thermoplastic bracelets that are also very popular with collectors.
