The clasp is trimmed with baguettes and the adjustable part of the necklace is dotted with prong set chatons that end with a huge pear shaped rhinestone. Truly this is one of those sets made during the height of costume jewelry manufacturing in the U.S. Signed JOMAZ on the back of each clip earring and on the back left of the necklace.
A note about the company: In 1923, Joseph Mazer, a Russian immigrant and his brother Lincoln founded Mazer Brothers in NYC. They began making costume jewelry by 1927; among Mazer master designers was Marcel Boucher and you can certainly see his design influence in this set. The company consistently used high quality materials to make well constructed jewelry. In 1946 the brothers split into Joseph Mazer Co (Jomaz) and Mazer Bros. Joseph's company was in business until 1981, Lincoln's until 1951. Collectors love their timeless and elegant designs.
