This excellently constructed floral brooch in classic silver tone features soft plastic petals that are accented with aurora borealis rhinestones; they look like raindrops on the petals. This brooch came with matching earrings and only the earrings were signed. This is a very large and dimensional brooch; it measures 4 1/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches deep, by 2 inches in diameter. This is a book piece and can be seen on page 115 of "Classic American Costume Jewelry, Vol. 2" by Jacqueline Rehmann. A different color of this same brooch can be seen in Judith Miller's book "Costume Jewelry" (2010) on page 110. A note about the company: Vendome was Coro's high end line of jewelry (replacing Corocraft). The chief designer was Helen Marion, whose designs featured high quality rhinestones and beads, rich enameling, and excellent metalwork.
