Lovely 'moonglow' eagle brooch is depicted in flight with wings spread and trimmed with crystal clear rhinestones (the term 'moonglow' refers to the pearly finish of the plastic). This majestic eagle brooch is featured in Leigh Leshner's book entitled "Collecting Art Plastic Jewelry" on page 39. The book piece is shown in pink while this is a pale blue color. Patriotic brooches such as these were popular during the years of WWII; and plastic was often substituted for metals whose use was restricted by the U.S. War Protection Board. The brooch measures 3 1/2 inches across and is in fine condition with no issues.
