This beautiful necklace features alternating designs of "owls" trimmed with ruby red rhinestones; the center drop is 2 1/4 inches long; the adjustable necklace measures 16 inches in length. It is signed LUSTERN on the fold-over clasp. There is a coordinating bracelet shown (also signed LUSTERN) which features the large red rhinestones; I am including this with the purchase of the necklace. The foil on the back of the bracelet rhinestones is loosening/flaking so it is included in the price of the necklace. Bracelet measures almost 8 inches long and features a security chain. The necklace has square (red) rhinestones on the chain but the rhinestone nearest the fold over clasp is clear, not red. It is a size match and not an obvious replacement; however I mention it for accuracy. LUSTERN was one of many trademarks of the Louis Stern Company, which was founded in Providence, RI in 1871. The company was primarily wholesalers of chains, bags, watch bracelets, buckles, and costume jewelry; over their years of operation (until 1950) they used at least 12 known signatures. This set likely dates to the late 1940's.
