Gorgeous brushed silver tone pendant features the ancient Egyptian god Horus who was depicted as a falcon (or a man with a falcon headdress). This is an enormous piece and measures 4 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide. It is signed on the reverse as shown TRIFARI with the copyright symbol. The link chain measures 18 inches long. This is really a stunning pendant likely designed by Andre' Boeuf for Trifari. Boeuf worked for Trifari during the 1960's and 1970's and is credited with creating some of Trifari's Egyptian Revival pieces that debuted during the period when the King Tut exhibit was touring the U.S. Horus was an important symbol for the Egyptians, one of their oldest and most significant. He was the god of the sky who soared above and protected the Pharaohs. If you enjoy Egyptian Revival jewelry you will love this unique piece.
