Fabulous signed NAPIER gold plated lion necklace features a very large pendant measuring 3 1/4 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide. It is very dimensional and sits just over 3/4 inch high. The pendant is suspended from a bilateral chain which is extra long and measures 30 inches. A smaller version of this piece can be seen in the book "The Napier Company-Defining 20th Century Costume Jewelry" by Melinda Lewis, on page 458. It dates to the 1970's and was designed by Napier designer Francis Fujio, who was at Napier from 1964-1977. After Mr. Fujio left Napier, he designed jewelry for a number of companies including Monet, Kirk's Folly, and Swarovski. He also continued to do freelance work at Napier from 1986-2003. This necklace is in fine condition with a bit of darkening on the back of the pendant (see pictures). It is signed on the back of the pendant as shown in the photos. Fantastic find for the Napier collector!
