Featured is a rare Sarah Coventry jewelry cabinet. This measures 28 inches by 17 inches and can be hung on the wall as is, or mounted flush with the wall like a bathroom medicine cabinet. It features an ornate exterior with lush red velvet interior. It has slide out jewelry drawers, three mounted velvet boxes on the inside of one door, and necklace holders on the other door. There is some slight wear noted on the front of the cabinet, near the door handles. The wear is a bit of discoloration to the paint finish (see photos). I could not find a signature on this but they are usually signed, either on the back or on one of the drawers. It is made of gold Syroco material. (Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco) was an American manufacturing company, founded in 1890 and based in Syracuse, New York, that was best known for molded wood-pulp decorations and gift and novelty items that resembled hand-carving).
This is a great piece for the Sarah Coventry collector, and it would make a great place to display your collectible jewelry. Please note the postage will be slightly higher for this item given its size. Please don't hesitate to ask questions or request additional photos.
