Huge sea shell brooch by Kenneth Lane can be seen on page 150 of the book by Nancy M. Schiffer entitled "Shamelessly--Jewelry from Kenneth Lane." This gold plated brooch features coral colored cabochons in two shades, accented with crystal clear chatons. It measures 2 3/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches. It is signed on the reverse KJL and CHINA. Condition is fine with no issues. This brooch was inspired by one made by Fulco di Verdura in 1940. The Verdura version featured gold, sapphires, and diamonds and can be seen on page 76 in the book entitled "Vintage Jewelry Design: Classics to Collect and Wear" by Caroline Cox.
