For sale is this circa 1880's, matte black glass bracelet on memory wire. It was made for wearing during the mourning period and each of the beads look like small tulips. They measure 5/16" wide and because of the way it was made, it can be worn on just about any size wrist or arm. When I first saw this bracelet, I thought it was black coral since it was not lightweight enough to be jet (35.4 grams). There is one tiny flake on the underside of the third bead and the flake is shiny. I don't believe coral would look like this if chipped.
April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month; a portion of my sales will go to our local SPCA.
