For sale is this extremely well carved, circa 1860's cameo with a depiction of a woman playing a harp. The cameo is rather large measuring 2 1/4" x 1 7/8" and has a nice filigree frame with a heavy gold wash. The cameo is not marked, but has been carefully acid tested to be sterling silver and the cameo has no chips or cracks. The large "C" clasp tests as 14k gold and there are a few faint stress lines above the woman's head that are simply from age and are not damage.
