For sale is this extraordinary, circa 1880's, portrait pin done in tested, not marked, 18k yellow gold, porcelain and abalone/mother of pearl. The piece weighs 25 grams and still has its original "T" pin and "C" clasp, as well as a loop at the bottom for hanging a small pendant or watch. Surprisingly not signed by the artist who did the painting, it is extremely well done and almost free from flaws (a bit of edge wear on bottom edge). The image is of a well known family member from the Wyoming Valley of Northeast PA.
April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month; a portion of my sales will go to our local SPCA.
