For sale is this circa 1940-1950's gilt brass and glass stones Miriam Haskell hinged bangle bracelet. It measures over 3/4" wide and has the beautiful floral pattern around the entire bracelet. It is done with finely etched gilt brass petals and leaves, plus round, prong set, pink, purple and ruby rhinestones. Topping it off are the six large oval dragon's breath stones. The bracelet still has its original grosgrain ribbon lining and has absolutely no damage, not verdigris and no repairs. The dragon's breath were very difficult to photograph and I could not get the fiery blue "breaths" that appear when turned at different angles. A similar version of this bangle appears in the Gordon/Pamfiloff Schiffer price guide on Page 69. It also states that the bangle came in both signed and unsigned versions; this piece is unsigned.
April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month; a portion of my sales will go to our local SPCA.
