Offered is an antique porcelain lamp made by Carl Thieme (Saxony, Germany) for The Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co. of Philadelphia.
This is simply a beautiful lamp, with all hand painted flowers and fruit all over.
Properly marked on bottom with the Carl Thieme Dresden mark (1888-1901). Most notably, in 1872 Carl Thieme founded his own Saxon porcelain factory in Potschappel.
Also intact is the original Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co. paper label.
There are chips on some of the flowers, as one might expect for a well over 100 year old porcelain lamp. No cracks or repairs we could find.
The shade height is adjustable with a turn screw, and the lamp measures 22"H at lowest and 26"H all the way up. About 8"W.
