Offered is a stunning pair of antique Baccarat school opaline glass vases, decorated by the renowned Bohemian Glass artist Josef Ahne (1830 - 1909). This lovely set of vases are exquisitely decorated with children picking peaches and digging potatoes. They also feature wonderful birds and cloudy skies.

Each is signed by Joseph Ahne and bears the official seal of the 1873 Vienna World Exposition & the 1878 Exposition Universelle of Paris. Each vase has a hand applied number 5 on the bottom.

6" Deep
3-1/8" Wide at top opening

Condition:
No cracks or chips
Enameling is in great condition, with a few very minor scratches.
Gilding shows wear as one might expect for their significant age of more than 140 years.
Each has a paper label on the bottom from the previous owner, which can be easily removed by the new caretaker, if desired.
