Offered is a fantastic Antique Bausch and Lomb Brass Microscope with Wood Case. The serial number of 39344 dates it to 1903 or 1904.
Appears to be made primarily of solid brass, with a few mixed metals here and there. I'm no expert on antique microscopes, so please feel free to ask if you have questions. I have included photos of areas of wear/tarnish, but can easily send better photos on request.
This scope came from a doctors home, where it was kept on pedestal. It's offered as it was found. Likely needs some cleaning and/or restoration. Most things with wheels appears to go up or down and/or side to side, though appear tight, likely needs some oil?
The pieces below the stage, above the mirror, appear to be a little stuck or I don't know how to move them, so I opted not to.
The box shows wear with scratches and such. The key is in the lock, which locks, but the key won't come out. The case has the top two drawers for eyepieces and/or lenses - One eye piece is in the drawer, and two empty brass containers in the other, which held lenses (1/6, 2/3)?
One slide holder on the stage is missing. There is wear, as mentioned, some green tarnish in a few spots, as photographed. Not perfect but a very interesting old piece of equipment.
