Offered is an antique Wakefield brass mission 4 light fixture. This is one of the more interesting brass fixtures of the mission era, made by The F. W. Wakefield Brass Company about 1912 or so. This example retains the original chain, which was a design exclusive to Wakefield fixtures and a patent awarded in 1912. The patent date on the fixture itself is 1910.
The fixture appears to be all original, with the exception of the Holophane shades in photo, which are from the same era (we do have 4 period mission shades with sandblasted interiors, which would be perfect for this light - add $30). Maybe within the past 20 years, the owner had this fixture burnished and lacquered, and you can see some spotting under the lacquer here and there. Wiring is solid and working, though the original fat-bot turnkey sockets were replaced not long ago with standard twist sockets.
Measures about 44"L overall x 24-3/4"W overall. 20-1/2"W socket center to socket center. The body is about 14-1/2"L and the canopy is 4-1/2" Square.
