Offered is a pair of antique, 19th century French andirons with flame finials, hairy paw & claws on triple raised ball feet.
They are made of finely cast bronze, with quality evident of mid-1800s French andirons. They may have originally been silver plated, which is nearly all gone now after years of use and cleaning.
An iron grate is also included, but based on construction, it appears to have been custom made for these some time ago, and has not been abused by fire. The andiron legs slide into the square holes on the front corners, and makes a fabulous base for a fire.
Each andiron measures about: 20"H x 12"W x 11-1/2"D
The grate measures about: 23"W x 14-3/4"D x 6-3/8"H
Andirons inserted into grate: 32-1/2"W x 22-1/2"D
The andirons can be fully disassembled for shipping if required due to size, or in the US can be delivered assembled.
