Offered is a Pair of Antique 19th Century Brass Arts and Crafts Candlesticks, made by Robert Riddle Jarvie (1865–1941) of Chicago.
These are slender, sleek and organic. They are solid cast brass, and may have originally been gilded. They appear to have been significantly cleaned at some point in the past, but are starting to take on a mellow aged brass tone.
They stand about 12-1/4"H, including the removable wax drip pans. At the base they measure 5-7/8"W. The hole for the tapers is about 11/16"W. Each weighs about 2.5 pounds.
They date to the early 20th century, perhaps about 1905.
Each has spots, some dings and scratches, as well as some residual wax. Could use a proper cleaning of the wax pans.
