Offered is a pair of Vintage hand Painted Porcelain Lamps by Porcelain de Paris. Made before 1970, they are marked inside with a blue Porcelain de Paris with crossed arrows, and a fancy red mark.
The lamp bodies are melon ribbed, and all hand painted and enameled with flowers, crowns, and shields with hearts surrounded by rearing goats. Tops and bottoms are gilded. Each lamp sits on top of an ivory painted wooden base.
The lamps measure 31-3/4"H overall, 30-3/4"H to the shade rest, but can be made 3" higher with the adjustable riser. The lamp bodies alone are 15-1/2"H. Width at middle of the porcelain body is 7", 6-7/8"W at base.
The porcelain bodies are in perfect condition. The wooden bases have been restored at some point in the recent past. The brass tops and socket clusters are mostly original with their original patina. The shade height adjusters and brass finials were replaced out of necessity. They have been newly rewired.
