Offered is a Antique, 19th century - c. 1870, French cylindrical onyx pedestal with Corinthian capital and acanthus leaf decorated cast metal base collar. The top onyx is removable and rotates on a metal mount in the base.
The striated green onyx is very solid, and the visible inclusions and fissures occur naturally in the onyx. Perfect for that special statue, vase, or anything you want to 'put on a pedestal'.
There once was more gilding on the base collar, but it's mostly worn. There are a few chips and nicks here and there, but nothing serious.
Perfect for that special statue, vase, or anything you want to 'put on a pedestal'.
Measures 38-1/8"H x about 12"Sq at top, and about 10"Sq at base.
*Will require crating for freight shipping.
