Offered is an outstanding Pair of Art Deco / Machine Age Figural Mermaid Bookends from the 1920s or 1930s.
Exceptionally well made of Bronze and Brass with Fluted Aluminum backs. They are each constructed of 5 individual parts, held together with 10 machine screws. Some of the bronze is chrome or nickel plated, and all in original condition.
The backs/bottoms have new black felt to protect your books and bookcase. When you pick one of these up, the quality becomes evident, and they are not light, each weighing about 3 pounds, 2 ounces. Over 6 pounds of bookends should hold some books.
They measure 6-3/4"H x 3-3/4"W x 2-1/4"D.
