The first experience came in December of 1927, Anne Lindbergh, then Anne Spencer Morrow, a 21-year-old senior at Smith College, traveled to Mexico with her older sister, Elisabeth, to spend the Christmas holidays in Mexico City with her parents and her younger sister, Constance. Dwight W. Morrow, her father, had recently been appointed U.S. Ambassador to Mexico. She recalls that visit in this wonderful book.
Page 2 before title page states: "Christmas in Mexico, 1927 is taken from Bring Me a Unicorn: Diaries and Letters of Anne Morrow Lindbergh 1922-1928 which will be published in the year 1972. This limited edition is published as a New Year's greeting to friends of the author and the publisher."
