Rose Fyleman (1877–1957). A woman of exceptional talent, best known for her fairy poems. Translated many rare children's books from French and German to their first English editions. Editor of one of the first children's magazines " The Merry Go Round". Born in Nottingham, England. Perhaps this magical setting led to her belief in fairies. Whatever the cause, we are blessed by many lovely fairy poems from this gifted author.
Beverlie Manson: Born in Manchester, England. An illustrator specializing in the depiction of children and fairies, her sensitive and whimsical artwork is usually completed in watercolor or pencil. A member of the Chartered Society of Designers, she has received awards for her creations and has illustrated numerous children's books, including "I Only Have to Close My Eyes" by Kenneth Williams.
