"Sir Galahad of Riversville ( Jingabo for short) lives on the thirty-ninth floor of the Waldorf Towers, overlooking Madison Avenue, the pigeons and the Hudson River. He is the bachelor half of a family of two, an arrangement made quite legal by the fact that Sir Galahad is, as his 'Ever Loving' tactfully explains, a member of the 'canis sapiens', in other words, a dog. It is his canine journal of seven days at the Waldorf which makes up this delightful book."
