This advertising dime bank has been in a private collection for 25 years. It resembles a match safe, but the top flips open instead to reveal a coin slot for dimes and not matches. The key slot is also located under the top; however, no key is included. In gold colored lettering, the bank advertises two businesses: Standard Cloak & Dry Goods Store and J. Solovich, Clothier. Both businesses were located on Front Street in Bath, Maine. The bank is wrapped in black leatherette in the center, and the two ends are base metal, silver in color. There is a small tear in the leatherette and the lettering a bit worn due to usage and wear, but is still very much legible. Overall, the bank is in good condition. It measures 2 5/8" in length x 1 7/16" in width. Please see the pictures for further clarity.
