This keyless Basket dime bank has been in a private collection for 25 years. It was manufactured by Victor M. Grabb & Co. in Chicago, Ill. Patented on April 22, 1902, the bank is made of sheet steel and is nickel plated. To deposit dimes, pull the lever back as far as it will go, insert coin, and then pull the lever back to its original position. The dime will drop into the bank, and the number of dimes deposited will register through the window. When 50 dimes are accumulated, the top cover can be lifted off. The dimensions are 3 7/16" x 3 7/16" x 2 7/8". There are some surface scratches due to normal usage and wear. There are no dings or dents and overall, the bank is in very good condition.
