This is a lovely Victorian gentleman's gold filled watch fob locket, circa 1880. It is hinged on one side and opens with a small thumb catch. The inside is not fitted with rims and covers for photographs like a traditional locket; however it is thick enough to hold a variety of mementos. There is an embossed border on both sides and a small engraved flower on the front cover set with tiny paste stones as the flower heads. Ready to be worn as a charm on a bracelet or necklace or as it's original use as a fob. So much nicer than the photographs show.
Dimensions: 7/8" square.
Weight: 6.9 grams.
Condition: Very good, all original, no blemishes or repairs to note. "Snaps" together perfectly.
