Another fabulous watch fob locket from our extensive collection, beautifully crafted in rose gold and ready to wear, circa 1890. Square in shape, it hangs in a diamond angle from it's ornate frame and bale. In the center of the starburst sits a rose cut diamond. One side is hinged and there is a small bead to open the cover from the front side. Inside there is a glass covered compartment with a small tintype, which I have left there. The depth is thicker than most lockets, so you could place a lock of hair or another memento inside. The back has a large intertwined monogram with fancy lettering with the initials U and T...so ornate they are difficult to decipher. It has a nice thick bale perfect for adding to a necklace, watch chain or charm bracelet.
Condition: Very good plus, inside the two frames for holding a photograph are still intact, however the glass to one side is missing and the other side is cracked. Any discrepancies you see in the gold are either reflections, shadows or tarnish.
Dimensions: 1 1/4" long not including the bale by 1" wide.
Weight: 7.9 grams.
Marks: None, tests 9c gold.
