The Teflon Iron Safe is to be put on your iron, if you own one, and allows you to iron any type of material including leather safely. The Teflon Iron Safe is still produced and sold today in the newer style, the holes are different. This particular Teflon Iron Safe is from the 1960's and measures 9 1/2 inches long and 5 1/4 inches at the widest. The Iron Safe is attached to your iron by a spring that is located on the back. A great piece to add to your vintage sewing collection.
