A small Tonala Mexican Pottery Hand Painted Owl. The Tonala Owl features flowers and greenery on his back and stripes on his head and chest all on a white background. Tonala is a suburb of Guadalajara in Jalisco State on Mexico's west coast and they produced pottery from the 1930's through the 1950's. The Owl has a small chip on his ear and a firing flaw on his belly. He stands 1 1/4 inches tall, 1 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/8 inches deep.
