The design of this pin is what I describe as "restrained opulence". While not over-the-top in design or size, it has a certain feeling of luxury and wealth. Typical of jewelry made in France during the 1950's and early 1960's, this pin doesn't skimp on materials, yet it is more demure than it's typical American counterparts at that time.
The pin measures 2 3/4 inches long by 3/4 of an inch wide. It features a trombone clasp on the back and is in excellent condition.
