This incredible china lady is for the collector interested in making an investment for the future, or a collection that specializes in extremely rare china dolls. This lady is BEYOND superb. In her all original costume, words fail to describe her beauty and the RARITY of her china hands and bare feet- no she does not have boots, she has molded, pink tinted bare feet with individually molded toes, and pink tinted hands with individually molded fingers! Wow! In person she is even more regal and spectacular. With no less than TEN braids/coils in her INCREDIBLE hairstyle, this girl is a family heirloom. We have never seen another one like her, and we've looked; we've held on to this girl for a few years, she was in our personal collection- but now she is ready for a new home. And with the way that antique china doll prices are these days, she won't be around long; a once in a lifetime doll offered on layaway? Why wait until tomorrow when someone else might grab her today!
*We are offering this fabulous doll on a layaway plan of up to 10 months.* Not everyone has the money for incredibly rare dolls like this one, but if you are willing to make an investment for your collection and need time to pay, we are happy to work out a layaway plan that fits you! She has the FINEST antique china doll porcelain head with molded bosom and very very delicate pink blush to her cheeks. She is on her original kid body with scalloped leather joints at elbows and knees and molded lady's bottom. Super slender torso (defying the laws of anatomy!) and gorgeous condition of the kid overall. As previously mentioned, she has the most spectacular hands and feet that are pink tinted china with rare bare foot modeling and individually molded fingers. The extremities on the right side of her body are restored (see condition for full report.) Now allow us a moment to talk about this head; her face is just sublime. As all of the finest antique china dolls have, she has extreme detail to the eyes, they have light dots, molded eyelids and superb overall sculpting. She has sweet little red lips, and blushed cheeks. HER HAIR IS AMAZING! No less than ten braids and twists decorate the back which swoops upwards in an incredible style. I've never seen this hairstyle before; compounded with her beautiful physique and SUBLIME presentation, she's a keeper!
This all original costume is just incredible. She is the last in one of the most stupendous china doll collections ever offered for sale; the collector who owned her previously was fastidious about costuming, and this all original costume is quite up to par with the other pieces in her collection. Scalloped cord trim decorates the cuffs, black silk ribbon decorates the front of the bodice, the arms and the hem; buttons down the front and an adorable little purse! She has a full set of undergarments including a gorgeous half slip with lace trim, a wonderful pair of pantaloons with crocheted trim and an open neck full slip/chemise. Her accessories include a gorgeous Victorian velour cape with silk ruffle edge and black jet and lace trim. She has black stockings and antique rubber and cloth shoes that fit her perfectly from the Boston Rubber Company. Overall, this doll has a spectacular presentation.
Condition: Perfect china head, in wonderful shape, however, as previously mentioned, the right hand and right foot have been restored, please see the photographs. Overall, however, this is a once in a lifetime doll. We just know that we will never get the chance to handle another china girl in this condition, and we want to place her in a loving home where she will be appreciated for years to come.
