Kestner, the King of Dollmakers, brings you this endearing 154 DEP bisque child doll! She has a bisque shoulder head, with bright blue glass eyes, a lovely kidskin body with pin-jointed bisque lower arms, intact original JDK Germany sticker on the body, and a gorgeous vintage pink silk frock with lace and ruching. How adorable! Snatch her up now before she’s gone!

She has a bisque shoulder head with fixed blue glass eyes, painted lower lashes, blond feathered brows, and an open mouth with four upper teeth. She stands at 26” tall on her original kidskin body, with bisque, pin-jointed, lower arms.

She wears a gorgeous vintage light pink silk frock with a ruched bodice, flanked by two rows of lace, a gathered silk sash and a large tier of antique lace on the skirt. Underneath, she wears a dropped waist, antique white cotton full slip with pin tucks and a thick row of eyelet lace at the hem, and a matching pair of antique cotton pantaloons with the same eyelet lace at the hem. On her feet are a pair of tall white cotton socks and an exquisite pair of white leather booties in wonderful condition.

MARKS: Dep. 154. 13 [incised, back of head]
JDK Germany/ ½ Cork Stuffed [Sticker on body]

CONDITION: The bisque head, hands and forearms are free of any cracks, chips, hairlines, or restoration, and is wonderfully molded and painted into the classic Kestner 154 face. The kidskin body has several areas of patching and repair, particularly to the legs and feet, but also to the right shoulder and left elbow joints. Her eyes are aligned well in the head. The vintage costume is good, with little to no age wear. Overall, she’s a great example of a desirable Kestner 154 in a larger size!

****Please note that the price shown for this doll was calculated by factoring in the doll’s condition carefully. The doll’s condition is described fully in the "Condition" paragraph above. Any damage or flaws are carefully evaluated as to the manner in which they may reduce the retail value of this item. Unless there is some major issue we overlooked in the condition report, we decline to entertain any proposals for price reductions due to a less than perfect condition report. Most dolls that are over 100 years old will have encountered issues over the years and perfection is rare when it comes to antiques.
