If you were hoping for an angel to enter your space, you have come to the right place! The King of Dollmakers brings you this big and darling 171-model girl, ready to please! She stands at an incredible 29” tall, with a perfect bisque head, with cute painted and molded features and the most beautiful cobalt blue sleep eyes. She’s on an antique Kestner stamped wood & composition fully-jointed body, topped by her original soft blond mohair curls, and adorned in a sweet pink dress with a blue silk sash and an antique crocheted bonnet with large silk bows on the sides. She’s in great overall condition, and ready to go!

She has a bisque socket head with bright blue sleep eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brown brows, an open mouth with four upper teeth, and a dimpled chin. She stands at 29” on an antique stamped, fully-jointed, wood and composition body, and wears her original blond mohair wig.

She wears a vintage pink dress, with a pink Peter Pan collar trimmed with cream lace, and an antique Gold-filled bar pin with a faux turquoise gem in the center. Underneath, she wears a matching set of vintage undergarments: a full slip with floral embroidery at the collar and a tan bow at the waist, and a pair of pantaloons; both have matching tucks and insertion and trim lace. On her feet are a pair of white knit socks and vintage black patent shoes, and on her head is an antique white crochet bonnet with large pink bows on either side.

MARKS: 16 / Made in Germany / 16 / 171 / 6 1/2 [incised, back of head]
Germany / 6 ½ [stamped on torso]

CONDITION: Generally excellent. The bisque head is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration. The facial modeling and painting is top-notch, offering a cute doll face with flawless bisque in a powdery smooth bisque complexion. The cobalt blue glass eyes sleep well and are aligned well in the head. The body is not original, but is an appropriate Kestner replacement. It has some areas of touchup and age wear, but retains much of its original shiny finish and its original stamp. The costume is generally excellent, with hardly any wear! The original wig is soft and supple and very full. Overall, this is a beautiful angelic antique doll! She checks all the boxes for the ideal of a doll!
