She has a bisque socket head, with brown glass sleep eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brown brows, an open mouth with four upper teeth, and a slightly dimpled chin, with blushed features. She stands at 12” on her original fully-jointed wood and composition body, and wears her original light brown human hair wig, styled in two pigtails with bangs.

She wears a matching antique ensemble in white cotton and lace. The outer skirt and half slip are identical, with three tucks above a lace hem. Tucked into the outer skirt is a cotton blouse with scalloped lace trim at the cuffs and collar, with eyelet details down the middle of the front flanked by vertical tucks. Under the whole thing is a cotton combination undergarment, with scalloped lace at the hems, and lace at the collar, with two tucks down the front. On her feet are a pair of white rayon socks with brown stripes at the top, and antique white satin shoes with ribbons that wrap around her lower legs. On her head is an antique white cotton hat with a red bow, and she has white bows in her hair.

MARKS: S & H / CMB / 3 [back of head, incised]

CONDITION: Generally excellent. The bisque head is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration. The facial modeling and painting is top-notch, offering a cute doll face. The glass eyes sleep well. The original wood and composition body has reconstructed feet and a reconstructed knee joint; the knee joint is no longer able to bend. The costume is generally excellent, with only minor and typical wear! Overall, this is a beautiful doll!

*Please note that the price shown for this doll was calculated by factoring in the doll’s condition carefully. The doll’s condition is described fully in the "Condition" paragraph above. Any damage or flaws are carefully evaluated as to the manner in which they may reduce the retail value of this item. Unless there is some major issue we overlooked in the condition report, we decline to entertain any proposals for price reductions due to a less than perfect condition report. Most dolls that are over 100 years old will have encountered issues over the years and perfection is rare when it comes to antiques.
