Which one of your darling bebes is ready for a spectacular new corset? It comes from c.1890, so it is fitting for any of your prized dolls! It is made from lovely blue silk, and lined with a sturdy white cotton, maintaining its original crisp and stark color, with only minor age wear. This is one piece you cannot pass up if you collect fine corsets for your ladies. As the years go on, pieces like these become rarer and rarer as they undergo the test of time, and a rare example like this will make a most prized piece for any bebe.
It is made of light blue silk, with a white cotton lining, and trimmed with white lace with light blue insertion ribbon and a blue silk rosette. The corset is decorated with channeling details on the front and back, and has three mother of pearl buttons on the sides and front. A white cord is laced through ten metal eyelets, and is tipped with metal aglets.
4 ½” long straps
Condition: There is some damage to the insertion ribbon in the trim, and places where it was missing. One eyelet and one aglet are missing, and one eyelet is loose. The rest of the corset is in excellent condition, with some minor age wear and no obvious discoloration or staining.
This corset is modeled on a gorgeous Eden Bebe, and is also featured in the photos of an exquisite drawn-work half-slip modeled on a Simon & Halbig 949, which are available to purchase *separately* on our site!

**We now ship EVERY SINGLE ONE of our antique costume pieces in archival, museum quality, acid free tissue paper. We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we want them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper. Happy shopping!** LBP 5/25/20
