A spectacular rare piece of history, this antique corset is a beautiful foundation garment for your best doll- though the gorgeous colors make it a wonderful piece to display on its own! The cotton candy colors are so reminiscent of a Victorian summer at a seaside promenade.
Chest: 9 1/2"
Length of Corset: 4 1/2"-5”
The corset is made of strong light blue cotton twill, with pink cotton twill channeling, and a wide horizontal light pink stripe at the front, white cotton twill edging at the top and bottom, and white crocheted lace trim. It is strapless, has 16 metal grommets, and is laced with a blue cord with metal aglets.
The corset is being modeled by a lovely 21” Simon & Halbig 949, who has already sold!
CONDITION: The fabric is in generally excellent antique condition, with some minor wear and discoloration, especially to the cord. There is a very small stain on the back near the grommets. It appears to have been taken in at the sides at some point in time. It is very sturdily constructed.

*We now ship EVERY SINGLE ONE of our antique costume pieces in archival, museum quality, acid free tissue paper. We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we want them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper. Happy shopping!* LBP 5/23/20
