Kley & Hahn commissioned the famous Kestner company, known as The King of Dollmakers, when they produced the darling "Walkure" models, and this beautiful girl is an exceptional example! She has a particularly sweet expression, with a pale bisque tinted with a slight blush. She looks like she is about to jump off the cabinet and play with you! Her face framed by dark brown mohair curls, and her antique body adorned in a lovely antique pale pink cotton dress. This girl will have you waiting by the door for when she’s shipped!

She has a bisque socket head with her original blue glass sleep eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, brown multi-stroke brows, and an open mouth with four upper teeth. She wears a soft chocolate brown mohair wig in a lovely curled style and she stands 23” tall on her original antique fully-jointed wood and composition body.

She wears a lovely pink cotton antique dress with white Broderie Anglaise and vertical tucking on the bodice, a lace ruffle at the collar and waist, lace trim on the sleeves, and two bands of lace trim on the skirt, with a blue silk ribbon around the waist. Underneath, she wears a white knit undershirt, and a pair of white cotton lace-trimmed pantaloons. On her feet, she wears lacy white socks and black patent shoes. Atop her head is a blue silk bow.

MARKS: 250 / K.H. / Walkure / 2 ¾ / Germany

CONDITION: Excellent. The bisque is excellent, with no hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration, with a just couple of pepper spots and inherent marks. She has an overall pleasant face and great modeling of features. The eyes sleep well, with good pupil alignment. The body has minor expected age wear, and her hands have been repainted. Her costume is in great condition. Overall, a sweet antique doll to fill out any collection, large or small!
