She stands at an incredible 22.5” tall, with a bisque socket head, with painted and molded features: brown glass sleep eyes, feathered brown brows, painted upper and lower lashes, an open mouth with four upper teeth, dimpled chin. She is on her original antique wood and composition body, fully-jointed, with the original finish, and the red stamp on the back. She wears a red mohair wig in a short curly style.
She wears an antique white cotton dress with lace trim, and subtle flower print, an antique white cotton full slip and pantaloons, and white cotton socks, and white faux leather shoes.
MARKS: made in Germany H 12 [back of head, incised]
Germany 4 [back of torso, red stamp]
CONDITION: Her bisque head is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration, with top-quality modeling and painting of features. The brown glass sleep eyes have good pupil alignment, while the painting and detailing to the bisque is crisp and colorful. There is a bit of rubbing to the tip of the nose, where the pink coloring of the bisque has faded just a bit, and a few tiny, isolated pepper spots; these are not unusual. The body is excellent, with only some minor areas of wear to the finish, such as on the fingertips and joints. The costume is great, with minor to moderate wear; this is to be expected with antique doll clothing, but overall, the costume is great and presents well!
*Please note that the price shown for this doll was calculated by factoring in the doll’s condition carefully. The doll’s condition is described fully in the "Condition" paragraph above. Any damage or flaws are carefully evaluated as to the manner in which they may reduce the retail value of this item. Unless there is some major issue we overlooked in the condition report, we decline to entertain any proposals for price reductions due to a less than perfect condition report. Most dolls that are over 100 years old will have encountered issues over the years and perfection is rare when it comes to antiques.
