CONDITION: Generally excellent. The bisque head is free of any hairlines, cracks, or restoration. He does have a tiny little chip to the right upper eyelid. He does have some tiny rubs to the right cheek and chin side, but these are not that noticeable. The glass eyes sleep well, and have good pupil alignment. The body is very good, with only some minor surface crazing and cracks to the finish, and a tiny bit of wear to his toes and a chip to his left big tie, but he otherwise has sturdy stringing, and a nice original finish and paintjob, and original GERMANY mark on the torso. The wig is soft and supple, and good for an antique, original wig. The costume is good, with no issues. Overall, this is a beautiful doll!
*Please note that the price shown for this doll was calculated by factoring in the doll’s condition carefully. The doll’s condition is described fully in the "Condition" paragraph above. Any damage or flaws are carefully evaluated as to the manner in which they may reduce the retail value of this item. Unless there is some major issue we overlooked in the condition report, we decline to entertain any proposals for price reductions due to a less than perfect condition report. Most dolls that are over 100 years old will have encountered issues over the years and perfection is rare when it comes to antiques.
